Hi, my name is Heather Katz. Health and wellness is something I’ve always been passionate about. As a former competitive runner and triathlete turned health coach and personal trainer, I learned healthy habits to last a lifetime – or so I thought.

But then we had kids, 3 of them, & everything changed! I had to learn how to make healthy living fit into our busy lives, and it wasn’t always easy. But I found a way to make a healthy lifestyle a part of our lives, I can help you do the same – one simple step at a time!

I truly love and specialize in motivating and empowering women, moms & families about how to make good health, fitness, nutrition & balanced living simple and fun. I can’t wait to help YOU reach your goals!

My Story

My name is Heather, and I’m a certified health coach, personal trainer, yoga instructor, teacher, a wife, and a mom of three. Health and wellness is something I’ve always been passionate about. As a former competitive runner and triathlete, I have always been focused on healthy eating and having a healthy lifestyle, and I was fortunate to have a good foundation for healthy living having been raised by a doctor and a nurse. As a competitive athlete, I learned just how important good eating habits are since my diet directly impacted my racing success. When I became a Mom, especially when I was pregnant with each of our children, my nutritional needs changed focus, as my new goal was to help our children to be as healthy as possible. As they grew, my knowledge about the best nutrition to support their health evolved, too. Life is busy, especially with three kids, so we have had to find ways to fit a healthy lifestyle into our lives. Becoming a health coach has allowed me to refocus my goals, not only improving our family’s eating and lifestyle habits even more, but also reigniting my passion for educating others about healthy living. My love of and passion for leading a healthy life has led me to a career that is all about helping others to live healthier, more fulfilled lives. As a health coach, I am able to combine this passion with my love of teaching by motivating and empowering others about how to put themselves and their family first, making good health, fitness, balanced living and nutrition natural, simple and fun!

Choose Your Priorities First

I believe that choosing what our top priorities are in our lives is a very important place to start. Priorities are what guide us in our lives, the things that we value most & make a part of our daily lives. Once you determine your priorities, it is so much easier to set goals, and I will help you get started & support you every step of the way!

Set Realistic Goals

Goals are the short-term achievements that we want to work towards in life. We all have goals in many areas of our lives, and it is key to choose goals that are not only in line with our priorities, but also realistic. When working towards your health goals, taking simple steps to reach them is an ideal place to start, as it will help you to make daily progress towards reaching them, keeping you motivated!

Be Flexible & Forgiving

When establishing your priorities & goals, it is so important to be flexible! Your goals can change from day to day, week to week, and month to month, but as long as they are in line with your priorities, you will be much more motivated to stay focused. They become a part of who we are and who we want to become. When working on improving our health, flexibility is key, as there will be bumps in the road, but as long as you keep your eye on the prize – your top priorities & goals – I will guide you and help you reach them!

 My Approach

As a health coach and consultant, I strongly believe that using a holistic approach in life is the key. We will focus on finding balance in these 4 keys areas of life – your lifestyle, fitness, attitude & mindset, and nutrition, as when these areas of our life are more in balance, so are we. As I work with you to guide you in making the changes you desire,  we will work together to find the steps that will not only best help you to reach your goals, but that will be attainable, realistic and fun. With my guidance, your health related goals will  go from feeling overwhelming to becoming a part of your life, and the best part is that once you start working on your health goals, the hope is that those you love will join in, too! I am certified as a Health Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute & have been practicing for a year and a half. I am certified as a personal trainer through the NAFC and have been training clients for over 6 months. My years of experience as an athlete & Mom, however, also guide me in my health consultations, as we learn best by applying and sharing health principals in our daily lives!
